Co-ordinate your furniture with some cushion, throw rugs and decorating pieces and your guests will settle in for a long night.
Temperature Control
There is no point spending time and money on your ultimate outdoor room if you can’t use it all year round. A good alfresco design will incorporate some heating for winter and cooling for summer. An overhead fan or misting sprays can reduce the air temperature by several degrees without wetting your guests. If you want to use your outdoor room through winter, decide on wall heaters, a patio heater, fire pit or fully enclose the area with blinds.
Resort Style Pool
Overlooking a luxurious pool or spa from your alfresco will give you that resort feel without leaving home. You could have a bartender and a swim-up bar, but if not, at least ensure your pool has steps and a shaded area for you to enjoy a drink. It will still feel like your favourite holiday hotel and with a climate like Perth’s it would be a shame not to have a pool as part of your outdoor entertaining space.
