Alex and team has been amazing in every step of the process of our build. From the initial consultation to the handover Alex has been professional and always on time with the things he promises.

Alex has a very kind and nice accommodating demeanor but also puts a lot of emphasise in the quality of his work. He would listen to our needs but also gives us feedback and suggestions that is not pushy. At the end of the day, he is the builder and he knows best and now that the build is done, we can’t be happier with the service and level of professionalism from JAV.

During the process, Alex had to manage ideas from different stakeholders during the build. Even with the pressure and demand, ALex worked and handled it professionally and diplomatically. We definitely had a great experience.

When Alex came to inspect the house, he was very thorough and even picked out the blemishes and imperfections in the house that I didn’t even notice (most builders would just pretend they don’t see it) but Alex meticulously checked the house to make sure everything was PERFFECT.

Even now, 3 months into handover, Alex checks in with us and see if we are happy.

We could not be happier to have JAV as our builder and will definitely go with them again in the future.

We used JAV for Design and Build of a custom design and build of a luxury home. The JAV team were professional throughout. We opted to use JAV to be responsible for the design, build and all the landscaping, boundary walls and front fencing. We had a direct contract with the pool supplier, but JAV interfaced with them on all technical and program matters.

Project Management was friendly, open, and professional. Any variations were costed, proposed and formally accepted or declined. any discussions on specifications and/or costs were done amicably and professionally.

Regular updates on progress were provided along with photographs.

We used a third party to validate progress and quality for all stage payments. There was only one issue (a window leak) that needed attention throughout, which JAV took full control of and resolved.

We were guided by JAV on all finishes (kitchen, bathrooms, flooring etc) to ensure budgets were achieved, and costs of any upgrades if we wished.

Our third party inspector/surveyor was very complimentary on workmanship and finishes. This is a challenge as we wanted a very high standard of finish, which necessitates the best tradesmen. JAV seem to have a good relationship with the necessary subcontractors, with the same people working on most of JAV’s projects which helps to ensure expectations are understood.

Ultimately, the house was delivered on time and to the very high standard we were expecting. Once we were confident the baseline specification was going to be delivered to budget we upgraded certain features such as kitchen cupboard finishes, exposed aggregate paths and drives, splash backs etc.

Liaison with neighbours was also first class, even being referred to by one of our prospective neighbours who was extremely complimentary on JAV’s liaison and diligence .

One challenge we had was that due to Covid, we were stranded overseas!!!!! We arrived back in WA just a couple of weeks before handover. Fortunately, we had signed off the design, picked all the base line finishes, and were in the final stages of costings before the borders shut. However, with the Buildertrend Project Management system, Zoom, email and other tools we were able to proceed with the build without issue. JAV were great in helping us make decisions on outstanding items, as were their subcontractors. A big thankyou to JAV’s cabinet maker for doing some small mockups of how the kitchen stone worktops would interface with the cupboard doors in various configurations which was invaluable in making important decisions on overhangs and shadowlines etc.

The JAV team also liaised with the soft furnishings provider to ensure power supplies were in the right locations for powered sheers and curtains, and helped with selections.
We have now moved in, and are working with JAV on an inevitable but small snag list. Quick progress has already been made and there have been no issues getting any of these resolved.

We are highly delighted with our new home.
